		<description>Brilliant article on luck...as someone generally considered &quot;lucky,&quot; I definitely agree with the professor&#039;s findings.  Luck is really at least partly confidence and envisioning yourself being successful.

Someone once said that chance favors the prepared mind, and I think that&#039;s very true.

And I do think that having two incomes in a family can cause you to spend more and save less if you&#039;re not careful.  Kind of a false sense of security thing...especially these days when having a job today is no guarantee you&#039;ll have one tomorrow, or even later today.  I&#039;m a little sensitive about that since I lost my job the week after I got married.  Good thing we had a cheapie Vegas wedding!
