Hello,

A friend sent me an article about "Blogging" yet I've done a search and can't find a definition to what it really is all about.

Is it a way to submit articles to Google?

Please explain.

Thank you,
Mercedes

Thanks for shedding light on the subject. Good work with Wired lately. I've enjoyed the science coverage quite a bit.

Chris,

I'm the editor of Wired (and thanks to Technorati, I see all blog references to us), so perhaps I can help shed some light on this. Basically, the connections are in the six-degrees category and not much more.

I'm a big fan of Gizmodo (and Nick's other projects), so when we launched Gadget Lab, our weekly email newsletter, we agreed to highlight some Gizmodo content in exchange for a link on their site. Just a trade, with no money changing hands.

Our connections to BB also starts with us being big fans. We act on that by asking BB contributors to write for us as often as possible, and helping support them by advertising on the site. But aside from that, there's no business connection--just mutual admiration.

I can't speak for either Nick or BB, but I suspect that the only real link between them is me, as described above. Sorry that it's not more interesting than that!
