CD Compilations

I’m making a new CD compilation. It’s fun to be creative make little things for people, and it reminds me of all the little projects I had as a kid. Like making my own dryer sheets, shoebox dioramas, secret agent ID badges, puppets from pantyhose and foam, things from pipe cleaners, and stop motion films with playdoh.

Oh, yeah, so dryer sheets, this is the one everyone asks about since it sounds wacky. But basically, when I was a kid, I was responsible for all the laundry in the house. If it was washed I did it. It was my personal chore. Sorting, washing, folding, ironing. The works. Anyway, in the garage I had a neat little area with three laundry hampers: linens, colors, and whites. I even had a little rug in front of the appliances so I didn’t have to stand on the hard concrete.

I got the idea to start making my own dryer sheets. So, I took some old t-shirts cut them into strips and soaked them in fabric softener and then let them dry out. That’s what I would use. I’m almost positive it didn’t save any money, but that wasn’t the point really.
