I like to sit back and think of all the tiny moments and events that make up my day:
- Woke up around seven.
- Arrived at work around half past eight. Listened to Pimsleur Spanish language audio-books en route instead of usual XM fare.
- Spent seven hours doing work-related stuff. Had lunch with J. at Jaime’s on Red River.
- Fought traffic on way up north. Saw four people get into a minor fender-bender because every one of them was being an idiot. Look on faces, priceless.
- Tried to be slick and get around bad accident near 360. Failed badly and got mired anyway. Ended up hiding out at Border’s and reading the first few chapters of “The Conquest of New Spain” by Bernal Diaz del Castillo. Great book, good adventuring stuff: tongues cracking from extreme thirst, battles with treacherous indians. Resisted impulse to buy and made mental note to check out from library.
- Stopped by HEB and noticed a T-Mobile shop nearby. Went in and bought a new phone because my zero key has not been working. I am now wholly enamored with my new phone, a Nokia 3200. It has a camera for photos and video, and it does all sorts of gaudy things. I can actually post to flickr and the blog with it.
- Cooked spaghetti and watched the Spurs vs. the Pistons game six.
