Incredible Flaming Mechanism

A friend of mine from high school called me up out of the blue last night and wanted to see if I’d be interested in resurrecting our long dead zine, Incredible Flaming Mechanism. We’d done like seven issues over a year or so and while it was a surprise I kinda liked the idea of it. I mean, to reattempt something after almost ten years when I’m older (and fatter) and arguably smarter, at least about some things. I wonder anything will come of it.

  1. Awww!! Cute high school nerdy boys! ;)

  2. On an unrelated note, WHY ARE YOU LISTENING TO SO MUCH ABBA?? Fag.

  3. That’s great news, I hope you do resurrect IFM. I have such fond memories of it. Though, no more snotty comics about me in the new one, OK?

p.s. I think you look way better now! Paul and Phil do too.

    p.p.s. Abba rules!

  4. Obviously he listens to so much Abba because there was a sale on at Sound Warehouse.

  5. What I want to know is, who’s behind the camera?

For the record, I was listening to Abba all weekend, and I have Lay All Your Love on Me in my head right now. If liking Abba–or Erasure or Depeche Mode or insert-thing-here–makes you faggy then I think 50% of the guys I know are gay.

  6. I know for some people 50% of their guy friends being gay is a big duh, but I meant if that was true it would mean, like, 45% of them would be gay guys who only sleep with women.

  7. I’m at least, 50% gay anyway. The camera was on timer on top of Paul’s 66 imapala.

  8. I was joking. I obviously don’t really think Chris is gay.

  9. […] than a decade ago, I used to reach out to the world through little home-made publications we called zines. […]
