American stooge assassinated

Afghan Vice President Abdul Qadir was assassinated saturday. This is the second assassination of a member of the puppet government of Afghanistan. This sort of thing will continue as long as the Afghan people continue to fight for their independence and as long as the United States attempts to set up Afghanistan as a vassal state in Central Asia. The Afghans possess an amazing amount of pride and determination. I wish them luck in throwing off this farce of a government, this confederation of conmen manufactured by US government and business interests.

I went over Bush’s response to the assassination and was surprised at his mealy-mouthed comments. Normally, he would decry something like this as dastardly terrorism. His response was interesting and very Clintonesque:

“We are more resolved than ever to bring stability to the country so that the Afghan people can have peace and hope,”

Obviously, he means the stability delivered at the end of a gun or dropped by American bombers. He went on to mention that the Karzai regime has not yet asked the United States for assistance in the investigation. This could be construed as an attempt to create the impression that somehow the Karzai government is now acting independently of the United States. Bush might be reluctant to criticize too loudly the assassination because he has authorized similar plots against other world leaders such as Saddam Hussein. I wonder how much Americans would appreciate if other world leaders authorized plots to assassinate our leaders. This sort of double standard displayed by the Bush administration is troubling.

Life is cheap

“Freedom is just a hallucination caused by a pathological lack of paranoia.”

The bad news: You’re a slave.
The good news: You’re one of the better off slaves.

Most Americans pinko commies??

According to the Columbia Law Survey: Americans’ Knowledge of the U.S. Constitution Condensed Survey Results / May 2002 a majority of Americans believe the famous Marx line “From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.” appears in the US Constitution. That’s just hilarious.

More, How ‘THEY’ Think

From A Symposium on Citizenship and Military Service by ELLIOTT ABRAMS and ANDREW J. BACEVICH in PARAMETERS:
US Army War College Quarterly
(Summer 2001):

Elliot Abrams is, of course, the infamous democrat-turned-republican Neocon creep Bush appointed to the National Security Council

  • First, the mythic tradition of the citizen-soldier is dead, its fate sealed by changes in the nature of modern war, in the aims of US national security strategy since the end of the Cold War, and in the aspirations and expectations of American citizens. Given the changing relationship between the individual and the state, spurred particularly by the cultural revolution touched off in the 1960s, the federal government has effectively forfeited its ability to compel citizens to serve in the military. Conscription has become and will remain implausible. To an increasing extent, the individual, not the state, determines the terms under which service is rendered.
  • Second, the identity of the “soldier as warrior” has become obsolete. It does not adequately describe the actual function–or, more accurately, the broader range of functions–of American military men and women in the aftermath of the Cold War. As such, it misleads citizens, creates false expectations among would-be recruits, and breeds cynicism among those already in uniform. Certainly, the US military establishment must retain the ability to “fight and win the nation’s wars.” But warfighting as such is not the task immediately confronting those dispatched to succor hungry Kurds or Somalis, occupy Haiti, separate ethnic groups in the Balkans, or pursue a “strategy of engagement” in places like the former Soviet bloc, Central Asia, Latin America, or, indeed, Yemen. Even the limited bombing campaigns that over the past decade have become the preferred US means of employing force–although providing airmen personal experiences approaching something like “combat”–are quite distinct from war as such.

Some more relevant identity–a refashioning of what it means to be an American soldier–is in order. The reality of US military history offers a rich trove of experience from which to forge just such an identity. For the greater part of that history, the American soldier’s assigned role has not been the passive one of holding himself in readiness to wage war, but the active one of attending to the nation’s existing priorities. Over time, those priorities changed, but they included fighting Native Americans, exploring the West, developing the nation’s economic infrastructure, opening markets abroad, governing colonies and protectorates, advancing the cause of public health, and building the Panama Canal. The relevance of this history to the current quasi-imperial role of US forces is all but self-evident. In the experiences of bluejackets and blue-coated and khaki-clad soldiers of old lies an identity as servants of the nation that may convey more accurately and more compellingly the vital role that the present-day military plays, however much traditionalists may bridle at that role.

Reads to me as completing the transformation of the military from defensive force to totalitarian/fascist borg-like entity.

On Posse Comitatus

From Posse Comitatus and Nuclear Terrorism in PARAMETERS: US Army War College Quarterly:

Although Posse Comitatus as a matter of law may be rapidly weakening, the principles embodied in the act serve an important and essential role within the American constitutional system. Even during a domestic nuclear terrorist incident, further erosions of Posse Comitatus are neither necessary nor advisable. Advocates of an expanded military role correctly note that many of the homeland defense missions they envision for the Army have a firm constitutional basis, including the Preamble’s call to “insure domestic tranquility” and “provide for the common defense.”[14] However, these analysts sometimes fail to acknowledge the Founding Fathers’ significant concerns regarding the effects of a large standing army on a democratic government. As evidenced by the Second and Third Amendments to the Constitution, the Framers clearly preferred a small standing army to be augmented by a “well-regulated militia” in times of crisis over a larger, permanent military force. George Washington, the first American Commander-in-Chief, endorsed a standing army only under limited conditions: “`Altho’ a large standing army in time of peace hath ever been considered dangerous to the liberties of a country, yet a few troops, under certain circumstances, are not only safe, but indispensably necessary.”[15] The Anti-Federalists went further, calling standing armies “that bane to freedom, and support of tyrants, and their pampered minions; by which almost all the nations of Europe and Asia, have been enslaved.”[16]

From the Mouth of Sauron

The Department of Defense had a article mentioning the release of license plates in Virginia to support the ‘forever war’:

New Virginia License Plate Exhorts Citizens to ‘Fight Terrorism’

WASHINGTON, July 2, 2002 – Virginians soon will be able to sport vehicle license plates bearing a Pentagon-shaped logo and the words “Fight Terrorism” emblazoned in red letters in remembrance of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on America. …

Arlington County Chief of Police Edward A. Flynn said the logo was discovered among items the public left as part of an informal memorial erected near the damaged Pentagon as police processed evidence in the days just after the attack.

The Arlington police were impressed with the logo’s “simplicity and power to evoke those terrible days,” Flynn said

Reminds me of the same irrationalism and emotionalism played upon by the Nazi’s. ‘Let us fight to protect the Homeland!’ The use of the word homeland is evocative of the Nazi tendency to think in terms of the ‘Fatherland’.

Desperate Measures by the Legions of the American Empire

Bush signed an executive order making it easier for immigrants who serve in the military to become citizens of the United States. Essentially, all foreigners serving in the military are granted immediate eligibility. This means that the best way to become a US citizen is to join the war machine and fight other poor third-worlders.

This shows how desperate the military is to entice people to join their mercenary ranks. No one in their right mind would ever enlist in the military. It’s not as if the US even uses the military to defend the United States. Most often the military is used to enforce global economic policy and to engage in drug interdiction efforts. The military also routinely engages in ‘nation building’ which is the practice of setting up US-friendly regimes around the world. This is what is taking place in Afghanistan. The systematic cleansing of the country to produce a pliant vassal state.

Hiring poor rubes to fight in the army is a common practice of corrupt states. In the last years of the Roman Empire, Gallic and Germanic barbarians were given Roman citizenship to fight in the legions of Rome. This had some unforseen consequences down the road.

The CIA as the tool of international business

Article about the CIA University to teach the next generation of elite globalist scumbags:

For four years From The Wilderness has been teaching that the CIA’s primary role, it’s raison d’etre, was to serve the interests of Wall Street and the major banks. In our recent three-country lecture tour, our documentation of the close links between CIA and Wall Street has taken many by surprise. Thirty years ago Professor Peter Dale Scott of Berkeley disclosed that six out of the first seven Deputy Directors of Intelligence (CIA’s number two position) had gone directly from Wall Street into service at the Agency. Since September 11th, FTW’s disclosure that the CIA’s current Executive Director, A.B. “Buzzy” Krongard is a former investment banker has caused deeper rumbles. The firm he once headed, AlexBrown/Deutschebank, has been connected to insider trading on United Air Lines stock just before the September 11th attacks. The NYSE’s current Executive Vice President for Enforcement, David Doherty, is a retired CIA General Counsel.

This new curriculum, as reported by Reuters correspondent T. Zakaria in a May 16 story and by the newsletter of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers (AFIO) dated June 24, 2002, absolutely and clearly establishes the priorities of the agency. Understanding this relationship helps people to rethink their paradigms when trying to understand the real role of secret intelligence operations in today’s world. As described recently by FTW friend Dr. Faiz Khan, M.D. – “A paradigm is what you think about something before you think about it.”

Since the U.S.-led conquest of Afghanistan was completed last November, a fresh opium crop has been planted that has currently put between 3,000 and 4,500 metric tons of opium back on the market after being harvested last month. That equates to an estimated $150 and $200 billion in liquid cash revenues that will enter the world’s banking system and financial markets, mostly in the U.S. In January of 2000 the Taliban destroyed some 96% of the country’s opium crop; an act of economic warfare that took an estimated $200 billion out of the world’s banking system. …

Regarding the drug trade, FTW has been focused for years on the fact that the control of the cash generated by the international drug trade has been one of the CIA’s primary concerns. This was the subject of a lecture given by this writer at the University of Southern California at the invitation of Professor David Andrus in December of 2000 entitled, “Wall Street’s War for Drug Money.” (A video of that lecture is available at www.copvcia.com).
