Osama Bush

The truth is out there … right?

At first, it all seemed so obvious. It was those Islamic terrorists. Osama bin Laden. Mullah Omar. George W. Bush had nothing to do with it … did he?

“The right wing benefited so much from September 11 that, if I were still a conspiratorialist, I would believe they’d done it.”

Norman Mailer

When the paladin of Camelot joined the fray, I knew 9/11 had become the Kennedy Assassination of the 21st century — a real-life X-Files episode occurring before my eyes. Like those X-Files accounts of aliens living in oil deposits, this was a story with such staggering implications the mainstream media are loath to go near it. The question isn’t who killed the president — it’s who piloted the airplanes that slammed into the World Trade Center towers, the Pentagon and the Pennsylvanian countryside.

The Caligulian American Justice System

Here’s another good piece by Wayne Madsen and John Stanton via Cryptome:

The Caligulian American Justice System–U.N. Intervention is Necessary

by Wayned Madsen and John Stanton

John Stanton is a Virginia-based writer on national security affairs and Wayne Madsen is a Washington, DC-based investigative journalist who writes and comments frequently on civil liberties and human rights issues.

The U.S. justice system (courts, enforcement agencies, rule and law making bodies) was the last venue of hope for America’s censored, oppressed, disenfranchised, and falsely accused. Indeed, the authors of the U.S. Constitution recognized that the third branch of government, the judicial branch, must be the stable and incorruptible anchor of American government and society as the other two branches — executive and legislative — would be subject to the whim and whimsy of special interests and the public whose opinions would invariably reflect those special interests. But what was once the envy of the world is now gangrene on the public body of a once proud nation, and it is the site of squalor, death, exploitation, rape, abuse, experimentation, and profit and loss.

At this critical moment in U.S. history when the American justice system is needed to stem the tide of American totalitarianism, it finds itself incapable of doing so. What a tragic commentary on a once novel and enlightened system that ended segregation, gave the convicted rights, ensured a free press and dissent, enforced a women’s right-to-choose, and checked the imperious power of the executive branch. Now, however, it is extraordinarily politicized and corrupted at every level, and wealthy ideologues, corporations and defendants with money to burn far too easily manipulate it. It is a system that is suspect by the general public and daily mocked by shows like Judge Judy. High school students in America know that the right amount of money and influence can buy a favorable decision, a legislative loophole, timeshare at a low security Federal Prison Camp, and even the US presidency as the Election of 2000 demonstrated.

The Slide Towards Totalitarianism

More and more people are added to the list of ‘terrorists’. Black muslims, environmentalists, peace activists, abortion opponents, pro-choice activists, AIDS activists, right-wing militias, white supremacists, cult religions, internet ‘pirates’, and supporters of constitutional government. As government and power becomes concentrated and people lose more and more freedom this will keep happening. If you do what you’re told and put up with the loss of your rights, you are building your own future prison.

In a FoxNews article the US is making their play against ‘domestic terrorist organizations’. Where is the evidence? The US has still not shown evidence against Al Quaeda and everyone else they’re targetting. The WTC was destroyed and immediately the government knew who to attack? How ridiculous! You have to ask yourself, who benefitted from the WTC attacK? Al Quaeda? Islamic extremists? The corrupt US government benefitted the most. The panic induced by the WTC attack led people to give away their rights under the USA and Patriot Acts.

All Sides Agree – Bush Administration is Evil

Bush View of Secrecy Is Stirring Frustration: Disclosure Battle Unites Conservatives, Liberals

“Kessler’s order, they say, reflects a growing frustration with the information control tactics used by the Bush administration. They say it is a gathering trend, fed by, but not rooted in, the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

They point to a memo issued in October by Attorney General John D. Ashcroft, which they say is an indication of the administration’s drive to restrict access to information. The memo – in the works long before the terrorist attacks – assures agencies that “when you carefully consider FOIA requests and decide to withhold records . . . you can be assured that the Department of Justice will defend your decisions.”

They also cite President Bush’s executive order in November limiting the disclosure of past presidents’ records. And Cheney’s refusal last spring to release energy task force records prompted at least a dozen FOIA requests, including 10 from Judicial Watch, a conservative watchdog group that sued both the task force and the individual agencies for the data. In response, a federal judge in one case said last week that he would order the nine federal agencies making up the task force to release their records on the task force meetings.”

More on the Saudi Peace Plan

After writing about my ideas about the well-timed Saudi peace initiative I came across this article in the New York Times with more information from the horse’s mouth which supports some of my conclusions.

“This is the first time we’ve heard any nation in the region talk about full normalization between Arab nations and Israel at the end of the peace process,” one senior administration official said. “The president decided that he had to embrace the moment.”

Other officials and outsiders noted a series of possible benefits for Mr. Bush.

Embracing the emotion of the Saudi plan, though not its details, helps the president counter critics who say that Washington’s hands-off approach to the Middle East for much of its first year only worsened the current violence.

Moreover, with Vice President Dick Cheney scheduled to leave for the Middle East in two weeks to describe the president’s reasons for wanting to change regimes in Iraq, an embrace of the Saudi initiative could give Mr. Bush some diplomatic leverage. It could help soften Saudi objections to increasing the pressure on Iraq’s leader, Saddam Hussein.

It could also change the tone of the next Arab League summit meeting, scheduled for March 27 and 28 in Beirut, Lebanon. The Saudi proposal is expected to be debated there, and one American official said that “this gives them something more positive to talk about than just condemning Ariel Sharon.”

The timing on this could not be better for the US. I am almost certain it was their idea.

US Biological Attacks Against Cuba?

Castro recently implied that the US may be responsible for biological attacks against Cuba by spreading dengue and other viruses and diseases. The US says that Castro is just being paranoid and flatly denies spreading disease, but I think they have scant credibility. The US has admitted to past attempts to assassinate Castro and to overthrow the government of Cuba by all means. Why is this so far fetched? The US is not above destroying civilian infrastructure and killing innocent people as long as it gets them closer to their goal. The past has proven that the US has little regard for human life unless the public starts to make a stink. When the public is behind them they are capable of annihilating entire cities. The United States is the only country to have ever used nuclear weapons against civilians. In Vietnam they dropped napalm and agent orange on innocent people and there is some evidence that they may have even used nerve agents against the Vietnamese. More recently, the US has stockpiled supplies of anthrax and other biological agents while funding research into an anthrax vaccine. Why are they making anthrax and developing vaccines against it at the same time? I have no faith in anything that our government says any longer. It is troubling when you find someone like Fidel Castro more credible than your own government.
