The Slide Towards Totalitarianism

More and more people are added to the list of ‘terrorists’. Black muslims, environmentalists, peace activists, abortion opponents, pro-choice activists, AIDS activists, right-wing militias, white supremacists, cult religions, internet ‘pirates’, and supporters of constitutional government. As government and power becomes concentrated and people lose more and more freedom this will keep happening. If you do what you’re told and put up with the loss of your rights, you are building your own future prison.

In a FoxNews article the US is making their play against ‘domestic terrorist organizations’. Where is the evidence? The US has still not shown evidence against Al Quaeda and everyone else they’re targetting. The WTC was destroyed and immediately the government knew who to attack? How ridiculous! You have to ask yourself, who benefitted from the WTC attacK? Al Quaeda? Islamic extremists? The corrupt US government benefitted the most. The panic induced by the WTC attack led people to give away their rights under the USA and Patriot Acts.

  1. Gee,

You mean to say there are people who would actually gather together and work to prevent somebody from speaking or communicating ideas JUST because their opinion was different? You mean to say that some of these same people might restrict access to those of unlike beliefs to further empower themselves or keep a lock on what they think of as their “exclusive” domain?

Do you mean to say that these same people might even concoct “incidents” to use police state powers to restrict said individuals?

Gee chris,….that sounds like totalitarianism to me. That sounds like small minded self rightious little twits that would make up rules to participate that would lend a rather bleak definition upon let’s say a litterary term like….submit…

Do you mean to say that people on any side of an idea might have to take into account…Substance AND Process in order to conduct themselves in a manner that would lend itself to preserving and/ creating freedom?

    I don’t know,…sounds pretty radical to me.

Sounds like Freedom and Security….but to choose only one is to lose the other.

But then maybe that’s just me.
